About Pastor Patti

I am Pastor Patti Aupperlee, and I am honored to share how much Jesus loves this church, this world, and all persons! I share my life with my husband, Paul. As a former chef, he enjoys making culinary creations and creating woodworking projects. We met when we both worked in the hospitality industry. We are blessed that God chose us to raise three beautiful children who are now beautiful adults. We even have a gorgeous grandson who was born on my birthday. Thank you, God!
My journey in ministry began with a solid foundation of education. I am a proud graduate of Asbury Theological Seminary in Orlando, Florida, where I earned my Master of Divinity degree.  Before my ordination, I was called to pastoral ministry while serving as the Director of Newcomer Ministry for the United Methodist Church of the Palm Beaches. This experience has been a blessing, allowing me to serve in both urban and rural churches, and has shaped my understanding of the diverse needs of our community.
Jesus has my heart and my life. My desire is to be a living witness to Christ’s light wherever I am. Being a disciple of Jesus Christ, called to transform the world, is who I am, not what I do.  I have a Wesleyan theological perspective and love living out my faith and calling within the United Methodist Church.
My belief in the church as a central and vital part of the community is unwavering. I am passionate about creating loving, accepting, and vibrant spaces that reflect the heart of Jesus.  I affirm the identity of each person, recognizing that we are all created in God’s image (Gen.1:26). My goal is to provide a safe place for everyone to explore Scripture and ask questions. I have found that some of the most engaging conversations about God’s love take place outside the church. I am always open to meeting you in your favorite place to connect with others.
I believe that God’s creation is meant to travel through life with relationships that reach into our spirituality. God uses each of us as a bridge of hope and healing that links those in a strong faith community to those who feel isolated and may have even been hurt by others (even others in a former faith community).
All people are God’s people because of God’s grace, whether they know it or not. I love my calling to help all people know they are God’s beloved and affirm the faith in those already connected to a faith community. All are welcome here in this faith community – come with your strengths, struggles, scars, and desire to find a place of hope. We are here to meet you where you are.
