Snapshots of No Activities and How to Address

Often times in health care activity programming families come in and see a snap shot of residents not doing anything They have been busy. Hkw can I address this?

Communicating the ongoing activities and engagement of residents can be really important. Consider creating a schedule or bulletin that outlines the daily activities and accomplishments. Additionally, inviting families to participate in certain events or activities can give them a firsthand view of their loved ones' engagement. Open communication about the residents' routines and the reasoning behind quieter moments can also help families understand the full spectrum of care provided.

Now when co-workers amd managent come and take a snapshot. Perhaps implementing a system to inform colleagues and management about ongoing or recently completed activities could help. This might involve a shared calendar, regular updates during team meetings, or even a designated board showcasing recent programming. Communicating the flow of activities and engaging everyone in sharing updates could bridge the gap between the perception and the actual engagement of the residents.

Amd lastly when residents report they go by and don't see activities going on. Creating transparency is key. You could initiate a monthly or weekly newsletter highlighting the activities and events that have taken place. Hosting regular community meetings where residents can voice their concerns or suggestions about activities can also help them feel more involved and informed. Sharing the schedule of upcoming events and encouraging participation might also dispel the perception that nothing is happening. Ultimately, involving them in the process and keeping them informed can address their concerns effectively.
